I'm a bad blogger!

I'm so sorry I have been so bad about blogging lately! Things are crazy busy around here now that Travis is crawling and pulling up on EVERYTHING! Timothy is doing good too. He is such a sweet little boy. How I got blessed with 2 such handsome boys I will never know but I thank God daily for them! I will be posing pictures soon! I have lots and lots to share :)

Donavan is still in school and searching for a job. He is at a job fair as I type this. Pray that he will be placed in the perfect job SOON! We know God has it all under control and in his timing Donavan will be placed exactly where he wants him but sometimes it's so hard to keep up the faith. I mean we are only human! I pray for God's guidance and direction daily. I can't imagine how we would be holding up in this kind of circumstance if we were not christians. Seriously, how do non believers do it? Thank the Lord I don't have to dwell on that! I KNOW God has it all mapped out. It's the waiting and unasurance as to what and when everything will come together. Please just continue to pray for our family. Thanks!

My little photographer

I swear this little boy is gonna be a jack of all trades. He loves so many things but I think his hidden talent is gonna be a photographer. Whenever he cans he sneeks off with my camera and snaps away. I always find the most interesting pictures on my camera.

My buddy and Me

My boys really are the best of friends. They play together all the time. Timothy loves to have Travis come in his room and play cars or just sit and "read" books together. I hope they always have this kind of friendship. I know battles will come. I'm not naive enough to think that it won't happen but in the end I hope they are always best friends.

Travis loves his brother too! I find it amazing how at his very young age of 9 months he prefers to be with his brother than play by himself (even though he does play by himself just fine) For instance Timothy is napping right now *knock on wood* Travis just woke up from his nap so I place Travis on the floor to play. He sits and plays for about 3 or 4 minutes when he plops on his belly and starts crawling right to Timothy's bedroom door. He knows his brother is in there and he wants to play. I pick him up and tell him brother is sleeping and lets play over here. He totally bypasses me and darts straight for his brothers room again.

It just melts my heart! I love to see that he wants his brother.

Oh and in the mornings the first thing Timothy does besides asking for yogurt is looking in Travis' crib or when Travis wakes up from his nap Timothy darts into our room to go see Travis in his crib.

The giggles between these two boys is contagious! They laugh and laugh! I love it!

Nothing melts a mommies heart more than seeing her 2 children playing, laughing and loving on each other!

9 Months already?!?!

Travis is hitting milestones everywhere!

Just since Saturday

~He has started rocking on his hands and knees....he's even tried moving his hand forward but he always ends up on his belly and army crawling to where he wants to go since it's faster but rocking means he's about to really crawl!

~ Today he went from a belly position to a sitting position on his own!

~ I went in to get him up from his nap today and he was on his knees holding onto the side rail! My jaw dropped so the mattress got lowered tonight!

~Oh and Travis has his first boo-boo...We still haven't figured out exactly how it happened but he got a good little bump and boo-boo on his forhead. You can see it in the pictures above.


I can't believe he is growing up so fast! How did the past almost 9 months go by so fast? My baby isn't so much a "baby" anymore!

Timothy sings "Jesus loves me"

I have a video of it but my camera battery just died on me so I will have to load it later.

He doesn't get all the words but it's pretty darn cute if I must say so myself. He seems to sing it better when no one is watching and he doesn't think anyone can hear him but what I got on video is is pretty good. I can't wait to share it with all of you.

FIREPROOF!

If you have not seen this movie YOU MUST! It's a wonderful movie! I'm tempted to say one of my all time favorites! It's like a romantic/comedy and suspence all in one! I recommend this movie for all enagaged and married couples! Take your tissues! You will need them!
This movie reminds you why you got married in the first place! Life isn't always easy....therfore it can take a tug on your marriage and sometimes it seems like we take our partner for granted. This movies goes to show that with God every marriage can be fireproofed! It is possible to fall in love with your husband/wife again....let me clarify though, Donavan and I are fine. We are still in love with each other but this movie just put that extra "oomph" back in our marraige again.
Last night Donavan and I ordered "The love dare" devotional...We are so excited to start it!
I could go on and on about this movie but I don't want to go into to much detail if you have not seen it yet so I am just gonna leave it at....GO SEE IT...and NEVER leave your partner behind!

Travis is 8 Months old!

Can you believe it? Didn't I just post his 7 month picture last week? My how time goes by so fast! Since last month he's got another tooth, eating cheerios and gerber puffs, learned how to sit up on his own and is now trying to master crawling on his knees and hands instead of the army crawl which he's been doing for a couple months now. Now if we could just get him to sleep thru the night we would be doing good!

Matching Jammies

I LOVE dressing my boys alike. Thankfully Timothy doesn't mind, he actually likes it so I am going to take full advantage of it before he doesn't think it's so cool to dress like his brother. The other night while I was at target I saw these jammies and HAD to get them...I just might have to venture back out there and get more of them infact, they are just to darn cute (The jammies and my boys)!

There is nothing like the laughter of a child. Esp. when they are your own!

We have spent all week painting our new home. It was ALOT of work but the end result is amazing! I LOVE IT!
Now it's time to plant some greenery! Whooo hooo!

Happy anniversary to us!

This time 6 years ago Donavan and I became husband and wife. My how time flies! I can honestly say I am madly in love with my hubby! He has been so wonderful over the past 6 years, a great father to our 2 boys and an awesome helper. We have hit some bumpy roads within the past few years but it really has only made us stronger. What God has joined together no man can seperate! Happy anniversary honey! I love you more and more each day!

Daddy's big helper

Donavan has a little shadow lately. Anything Donavan does you can expect to see a little 3 foot shadow right behind him. It's just the sweetest thing ever. Timothy even started calling Donavan his "buddy" and himself a "Biiiiig helper" How cute is that? This picture is from yesterday when Donavan was taking some screws out of the wood around the windows (left there from when a hurricane came through and plywood was on the windows) Timothy just followed Donavan around with a little bucket waiting for him to drop the screws in. It was adorable! Ahhh how I love the men in my life.

He CAN sit!

Everyday we help Travis sit, he could care less about doing it on his own. We practice everyday, multiple times a day in fact. He always just topples over....NOT TODAY! He sat a everybit of 3 minutes! He even caught himself while falling over a couple times! YAY TRAVIS! What a big boy!

I smell paint fumes

Donavan and I have been painting the outside of the house for the past 3 days now. We are almost done but I am already wiped out. We have a a little bit more of the main color and the trim left. It looks soooooooooooo good though! I can't wait for it to be finished and look at the before and after pictures. We have even had a couple neighbors tell us how much they love the color :)

The boys have been wonderful while Donavan and I have been busy painting. Timothy has loved playing outside ("mowing" the grass, painting the sidewalk with chalk paint and just running wild) he's also been such a good big helper to both of us. Travis has enjoyed the breeze while playing outside in his excersaucer. Thankfully we have still stuck with thier routine so naptime and bedtime have been when we have accomplished the most painting.

Well I guess that's about all for now. The before and afer pictures will be posted within the next few days.

Just mom and me

Mom and I had a good ol' time together last night! We went and got our nails done along with pedicures (Mom treated me, Thanks Mom!) Then afterwards we went shopping at Old Navy since they were having a huge sale....We got lots of goodys and probably spent to much money but it was FUN! Just my momma and me :) It's been a while since just the two of us hung out. It was like old times....I see her well.....everyday but last night was different. It was just US ya know, no distractions, no hubbys, no kids, no time restrictions. I can't tell you how much I needed just that time with her. When all is said in done at the end of the day my mom will ALWAYS be my best friend!

Look who's 7 months old

Okay so I'm a day behind posting it but the picture was taken yesterday. My BABY is 7 months old! Can you believe it? I can't! Where did my baby go? He is all over the place these days, keeping mommy and daddy on thier toes. He is such a happy lil guy and loves to laugh! Anything he can get his hands on you just better watch out cause he will get it. He really likes remote controls (such a boy), pulling on dangly earrings that any woman is wearing, pulling hair seems to be a favorite too. He is blowing rasberries which seems to be fun between the boys these days as they must be seeing who gets soaked the fastest. haha! Let's see what else? Oh Travis has 4 teeth and enjoys biting anything close to his mouth, OUCH! I just love watching him discover new things, playing with his brother (They are best buddies, just ask Timothy) and covering him with kisses. He still isn't sitting up on his own yet but I think that is due to him army crawling and rolling everywhere. He's just to busy to sit still. The past 7 months have flown by but I am enjoying every moment with him.

There's a storm a comin'

We have TS Faye coming our way. She should be here within the next 24 hrs, They say we will be having lots of wind and up to 20 inches of rain! Holy Moly that's alot of rain! So this morning Donavan decided to clean out our gutters! Ew!

Look at that sky! It surely doesn't look like the "sunshine state" here today.

We aren't to worried about Faye. Although I would like to prepare a little more than we have since we haven't done anything yet. Oops! Anyway say a prayer that the winds stay low and there isn't much damage. Ahhh the season of hurricanes.

We have a blog!

So I am gonna try my hand at this blogging thing. Be patient with me since I have not a clue what I am doing :)

Our familyhas grown and we want to keep our friends and family up to date with what's going on in our lives. Of course I'm not sure how often I will update but I will try to do it often so you all can see our boys grow :)
